The Arrow series was developed with the idea of creating a product that uses highly functional materials for running wear while simultaneously toning down the sporty look. We believe we have created a product that has high functionality that can be
used by hard trail runners and track and field athletes, but also possesses a casualness that is not found in existing athletic wear.
In terms of materials, we have adopted high-performance materials that balance various functions at a very high level for the activity of running. First of all, it
is a material that is extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing. It is particularly strong against contact with branches and other objects during trail running, and strong against friction from prolonged contact with a backpack. Yet, it is not too stiff, and has a supple and light texture. It is also lightweight and possesses very high levels of basic performance as running wear, such as water absorption, quick drying, and UV protection. Furthermore, it has a cooling effect on contact, reducing stress during running in hot weather and during high-intensity runs.
On the other hand, while using such super-technical materials, we have deliberately reduced the technical appearance through design work. The technical aspects are hidden beneath the surface, making it look natural at first glance—this single element is what I believe defines TANNUKI's raison d'être. The one-button Henley neck design gives it a casual feel. The combination of different synthetic materials creates a heathered texture.

—Design points
The upper part is a simple Henley neck shirt, while the lower part features TANNUKI's unique diagonal pattern pockets.
The simplicity of the upper part makes it easy to pair with other items. The Henley neck with buttons on the collar not only adds functionality such as ventilation, but also creates a focal point on the chest, giving it a design that works even when worn alone. Incidentally, the origin of the Henley neck seems to come from the Henley Regatta, a boat race held in Henley, a town on the upper reaches of the Thames River in London, where the participants wore the neckwear.
There is a pocket on the left hem. The pocket follows the design of the Sato series, but it has a well-fitting design using diagonal seam lines. Because it has a gusset, it is designed so that the contents do not easily fall out. It was originally developed for the purpose of holding gels during trail running, but it is also very suitable for holding a mask.
A heathered material is used as a design point. It is neither a heathered pattern nor a solid color, but something in between that is just right. It is versatile and easy to match with both patterned and solid color
items. It is a short-sleeved type with raglan sleeves that do not restrict the range of motion around the arms.
-Material points
First of all, the strength is enhanced by the Cordura material. Cordura is a material developed by Invista that combines strength and lightness. It is said to be seven times stronger than regular nylon. This Cordura brand nylon yarn is used as the base, with the addition of water-absorbing polyester yarn and polyurethane yarn to enhance stretch performance. This special blend results in a material that combines various functions at a high level. It boasts
abrasion resistance that prevents damage and pilling from rubbing against backpacks, tear resistance that prevents holes from contact with obstacles, water absorption that quickly absorbs sweat, quick-drying properties that diffuse absorbed sweat and dry quickly, stretchability and a pleasant feel against the skin that enhances comfort and does not restrict movement, UC cut performance that protects the skin from ultraviolet rays, and a cooling sensation when touched. All of these functions are achieved by combining fibers with their respective characteristics.
